A3 Drow Guard Post:

Near the set of double doors on the far east side of the room sit 2 Drow. The watchwomen’s Darkvision allows them to see further than their surface cousins, or Dwarves… They carry Heavy Crossbows (1d10+2) instead of the smaller Hand Crossbows (1d4+2). The bolts still carry poison.

Because of the Heavy Cross bows these Drow carry no Shields and their AC is the normal 15

Their line of sight easily extending all the way across the highway to the far side. Grimlock Territory is to the southwest – and the Drow don’t expect to see anyone passing by but will easily spot a bright torch if it passes by their vision. If someone passes by in total black, the Drow will make a Perception check at -3 (Not the usual +2, because of the dim light penalty) Only if they make a roll of DC 10 or higher will they realize something is nearby. DC 15 or higher they will recognize surface dwellers.

Should anyone approach the hallway entrance The Drow will fire their crossbows are a warning to deter anyone from coming closer. The Drow relies on their superior Darkvision to confuse strangers to the underworld.

If the 2 Guards obverse the Heroes without incident, they will follow them at distance and warn the others further south – something they must use the Highway to do – As a Passageway between A3 & A12 was recently caved in.

This room also has 3 Bedrolls near this guard post – but only 2 visible guards
