Creatures for this Module:

The undergound lair is no regular dungeon, and the creatures within are also abnormal in many ways. The bizarre experiments of Ancient Wizards have magically warped the dwellers within the halls. For this module the creatures inside the dungeon have these alternate characteristics… I have included the original statistics for reference as well.

Languages Undercommon

 

Blind senses: The Grimlock can’t use its blindsight while deafened and unable to smell.

Keen Hearing and Smell: The Grimlock has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.

Stone camouflage: The Grimlock has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in rocky terrain. [This is particularly effective against Darkvision which allows no color definition]

Stench: When a Grimlock is angry or frightened, it (as a bonus action) secretes a musky Stench that nearly every form of animal life finds offensive. The Grimlocks use these horrid smells to identify each other and mark their territory. Creatures (except Grimlocks) within 30 feet of a Grimlock must succeed on a DC 11 Constitution save or be Stunned for 1 round (as they gag or retch).

Creatures that successfully save cannot be affected by the same troglodyte’s stench for 24 hours. Whether they save or not, they have Advantage against the unique smell of other Grimlocks. This effect is considered a Disease and immunity or resistance to that applies here as well.

Actions

Spiked bone club. Melee weapon attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) bludgeoning damage plus 2 (1d4) piercing damage.

Rock. Thrown Ranged weapon attack +5 to hit, Range 20/60. Hit 5 (1d3+3)
